ABOUT US
The Haven School Wolston is a new independent special school opened Summer 2022!
We are proud to have created a calm and welcoming environment for our pupils so that they have 'A Place to Belong' and feel part of a school community.
Pupils that attend are aged 11-19 who will have Education, Health Care Plans or additional needs such as social, emotional or mental health difficulties.

The ideology of The Haven School Wolston is one of inclusivity and we are determined to see success for all of our young people. Our core aim is to offer a highly bespoke education to enhance the social and emotional wellbeing and opportunities of children who struggle in a mainstream educational setting. We believe this ensures that expectations remain high, whilst also understanding that one size does not fit all and that some young people require both adjustment and support to achieve.

We aspire to work extremely closely with parents, local authorities and other partners to remove the barriers to meeting expectations that some young people face. This also defines our expectations for the strong relationships and mutual respect between individuals that permeates our School.

Our pupils and staff all work to uphold this ethos in our daily practices.
The school will have a therapeutic and academic offering to all pupils and this is demonstrated by the care and attention that has been taken when developing the school premises.

The Child's voice is at the centre of everything we do and we aim to put a child’s mental health and emotional wellbeing at the heart of their schooling.
